Prologue

Spring 2008

Miss Top Model UK is the premier 'Live' Nationwide Model Search event in the UK, seeking out the very best talent that the United Kingdom has to offer. Profission have produced the identity, online and offline collateral for the event this year.

Act 1

Establishing the brand

A simple ident for a new national event in it.Rendered flat in black against white or slightly textured in whites against black, the logotype carries a secondary line that can be amended to fit a particular event or location.

Imagery is graded with strong colours to give the notion of off-screen light and creates a sense of movement and environment.

Act 2

Print Collateral

Profission created a comprehensive show guide to introduce the event. As well as introducing finalists, the brochure served as an overview to the various causes that the Grand Finale event contributed towards, and set the blueprint for the show going forwards.

Act 3

Miss Top Model Online

Primarily a brand awareness exercise, the site acted as a platform from which to broadcast news and updates in the run-up to the event itself. The site followed the selection and rehearsal stages, and provided a portfolio for each of the finalists to the public, who could vote to choose a winner in an open category.

Epilogue

The show

Launching at the Grand Finale in Kensington, Profission managed the look and feel of the big night to keep it in line with the new brand, and were even asked to judge one of the categories of the competition. The Company considers this to be in acknowledgment of their refined aesthetic sensibilities, but grudgingly agree that this was probably just a small nod to the hard work put in.
